In association with the Digital Communication Knowledge Transfer Network, the Institute of Advanced Broadcasting (IAB) held a Micro Broadcasting seminar looking into digital inclusion, the concept of micro broadcasting, the digital economy and how it can shape the future of Broadcasting. The seminar commenced with a welcome from Dr Peter Noyes, followed by presentations from Gary Thompson; Director of the Institute of Advanced Broadcasting, Simon Gibson; Chairman of IAB and Chief Executive of Wesley Clover, Rhodri Williams; Director of Ofcom Wales, Geraint Talfan Davies; Chairman of the Institute of Welsh Affairs and Dr Philip Hargrave; Chief Executive of Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network. The attendees included University staff, Welsh Assembly Government and both local and national organisations. The event has had excellent feedback from its attendees and has created a high level of interest in the Institute of Advanced Broadcasting activity and its future projects.
